I went by the shop to see you, but you were not there to be seen.
I saw some things I would have bought, but you were not there to help me.
I picked up merchandise a shopper knocked over and ignored, and you were not there to shake your head disapprovingly at him.
I left and got back on the train to go buy boots for the winter, so I can try again in the snow.

Loopers.

I'm really sick of looping. This live sampling/layering technique is a musical hell for me. It creates static, repetitive music by definition, and it's "oh wow how is he/she doing that" response needs to run out of steam. Last nights show had a lot of that hell-making garbage, along with something I hate even more; playing along to tape or a computer. Some of the most soulless, soul-sucking sets I've experienced, and to quote the music teacher in Fame, "that's not music, that's masturbation."
