Photographic memory loss.

I took a picture a few weeks ago that stuck with me ever since. I knew what I had on film, and I liked it, and that's very rare.
This is the picture that was in my mind up until I developed the roll a few days ago.

When I looked at the film while it was hanging up to dry in my bathroom, I looked for the picture, and had some trouble finding it. That's because the picture really looked like this:

Not the same thing. All I was focused on was getting the couple in the right spot. I didn't have time to get closer or change lenses. I guess I cropped it in my brain. I was kinda shocked. How did that false memory happen?

Parrrrrty!

I hate when Halloween is on a wednesday. It means there are two weekends full of halloween since no one can decide when to have their party. My new neighbors downstairs are having one right now. They're being really loud while walking up and down from the roof. I hope they remember this night when I'm being loud in the future.

I realized a few weeks ago that they are all yuppies. They all look younger than I. They all pay over two grand a month to live in this dump. There are often Wall Street Journal subscription deliveries in my lobby. I didn't know these people still existed. If I had a costume, I'd join them. See what it's all about.

But I have to go to sleep early so I can get up early and go to a war protest. I don't think I'll actually be in this one. I may just watch. I'll see how it goes. My biggest concern is the rain, and what cameras I want to soak.

Why are they yelling? Are they yelling "toga, toga...!?!" And they're listening to Thriller. This ironic musical tastes thing never made sense to me. There are so many good recordings to listen to, why would you listen to crap just because it's so bad it's funny? Why not just listen to something good? And no, Thriller is not a good song. I can deal with a couple songs on that record, but not that one.

I miss the DJ that lived down there. There was nothing ironic about that gang.

Catch up.

I have these moments when I have something to write about, but I've just been forgetting them lately. There's a war protest on saturday. Updating my resume always makes me feel better. Makes me feel like I'm ready for change if change should be forced by or on me. I turned down two jobs today because I already had another. I was called a calming presence last night by a really drunk woman. We're all connected to each other in new york. My foot hurts. I have to get together with Francesca. There's a numerologist on the radio who told a woman to change the date of her back surgery because the planned date and her birthday are incompatible. Haven't talked to Anita in a while. I missed Kelli's phone call. Jennifer invited me to LA for Thanksgiving. I may have to work.

Timecard.

I woke up 24.5 hours ago.
When I clocked out, my timecard read 21.60 hours for today.
I just took a vitamin,
and I'm eating a yogurt.

Windows.

They're going to put in new windows. I don't know how, and I don't know what I'll do with all my furniture that's blocking the way to my windows, but they're gonna do it, and I'm not happy about it. They also slotted a four hour block of time to do it. I have nine windows, and there are a few other apartments on the list as well. Bullshit.

George and I drove around in a rented minivan tonight. He has a GPS system, and it has the option of using Mr T's voice telling you which way to turn. Really strange having Mr T calling you a fool, and telling you to turn right in 50 yards. We hit Home Depot, White Castle, and the polish place on Bedford I can never remember the name of.

H was in my dream last night. I was in some other city, in some kind of large store, and she worked there. She was wearing all black, and didn't pay me much notice as she walked by. Wish I could remember more details.
